Beauography LLC is committed to making beauography.com usable for as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification.
Our conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. WCAG 2.2 AA is also the standard widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
We work toward this target, but we do not claim the Site is fully or perfectly accessible. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some content or third-party features may not yet fully meet every criterion.
Measures we take
- Building on semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and labels
- A skip-to-content link and full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast checked against the WCAG AA thresholds, in both light and dark modes
- Form fields with associated labels and clear, text-based error messages
- Respecting the "reduce motion" setting to limit animation
- Automated accessibility testing (axe-core and Pa11y) as part of our workflow
Known limitations
We are actively working to address the following:
- Captions on our embedded video are being reviewed and improved. If you need the content of any video in another format, please contact us and we'll provide it.
- Some third-party embedded content (such as the YouTube video player and the scheduling tool we link to) is controlled by those providers, and its accessibility may vary.
Ongoing review
Automated and internal testing catches many, but not all, accessibility issues. We periodically review the Site and welcome independent audits and real-world feedback from people using assistive technology.
